94th Other Ranks Pre.1874
“CONNAUGHT” / “RANGERS
Officers 1881-1901
Differs from Ryan fig.234 in that the Elephant lacks a blanket on its back. While I have seen more than a dozen examples like the above without a blanket, I have only seen one example with a blanket, with a much smaller Elephant compared to the others.
Variation of Elephants without a blanket.
“CONNAUGHT” / “RANGERS
Officers 1881-1901
(Ryan fig.234)
Much smaller elephant compared to normal with a blanket on its back. Several examples have been recorded.

“CONNAUGHT RANGERS”
Officers 1881-1901
An extremely rare variation with the title around the outer ring, and with a small Elephant. It must have been worn very briefly.
Unusual Elephant with blanket
Ryan also shows an example with kings crown, 1901-1902?. Again shown with a blanket on the Elephants back.

Hello there,
If you have a moment or two to answer an email, I have a couple questions on the 94th buckle if you do not mind.
Hello,
By all means, I’m only a collector so will not confess to being an expert, but will help if I can.
Jeff
Is there any chance at all that you might be able to make rubbing or a casting off this buckle? The other ranks one? We are a small group of reenactors in California that are doing a 94th impression, and one of the last things that we need is a proper belt buckle. Yours is the only one I have ever seen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. You can also send me a private email to discuss it. My email was required to send you this message. Thanks again for you time.
