In 1874 title changed to “Duke of Edinburgh’s Regiment”, but with same Crown over 99 centre.

Two versions of the post 1881 officers waist belt clasps exist, the above lacks “THE” in the title (Ryan fig.226) I have observed a number of examples, so it must have be worn for some time.

Another version without “THE”, but with different spacing of the title. The lettering of “WILTSHIRE” and “REGIMENT” have been squashed together.
