The 3rd Volunteer Battalion The Border Regiment, raised in 1900 for service in the 2nd Boer War. Became became 5th (Cumberland) Bn, The Border Regiment in 1908 as part of the Territorial Force.

Centre device is absent, but would be as the 1st and 2nd VB.
